House in the Forest
Once upon a time there was a house in middle of the forest. Once my family and I went to that house. I got frightened. Neither of my parents got frightened. We went in and I found a mouse. I don’t know the name of the mouse. I couldn’t tell if it was a boy mouse or a girl mouse but it was grey. I didn’t see any other animals.
Later we went home. I brought the mouse home. Then I got in trouble. My parents yelled at me and I cried. The mouse ran away. I never saw it again. Things were better with my parents after that.
The End.

That’s a great story, Jarrod. I’d like to know what you think happened to the mouse after it ran away. Did it join the French Foreign Legion? Did it go to market? Did it start modelling for a multinational entertainment conglomerate? Enquiring (or is it inquiring?) minds want to know.

Hi Jarrod. Thanks for the storey. I wonder if the mouse went back to its house. I am wondering if there were any other mice that lived there. What was special about the house that mice lived there, and did the house have any cats or hawks or other creatures or computers? Were there any people that lived in the house and did they miss the mouse when it was gone? PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!

Hi Jarrod,
How long did it take you to write that story? I really liked it. I want to hear more about the mouse. What did the mouse look like? Was it an ordinary mouse or a mouse with pink polka dots? Yesterday was my last day of school. I watched two movies and I had a freezie and a cupcake. Now I’m going into grade three after summer holidays. I just finished reading the first Leminy Snicket book. I can’t wait to see you in August.
